Make an Appointment
Due to the large numbers of current clients and their follow up needs, Dr Tudor’s books are at present closed for on-going couples therapy and those with chronic pain conditions.
Consulting days (office hours only) are Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Phone consultations can be arranged, however, this form of consultation does not attract a Medicare rebate – therefore phone consultations involve a greater out of pocket cost compared to face to face consultations.
From February 2022, after no fee change for 4 years, the fees have risen slightly.
Initial appointments generally need to be longer than subsequent sessions.
A 75 minute initial appointment is $280.
Subsequent 60 min sessions are $250.
If the appointment goes beyond 75 minutes, each extra 15 minute consulting period may cost a further $65.
All Medicare Card holders are eligible for a Medicare Rebate of $117.40 (Medicare Item Number 44 – one person) or $128.75 (Medicare Item Number 170 – 2 people, 1 hour consultation) per session.
Please keep in mind that, following the receipt of your Medicare rebate, the out of pocket cost will be in the long run a modest amount well spent. Dr Tudor’s medical sexology knowledge and over 30 years of sex and relationships therapy experience enable her to help people efficiently. Follow up appointments are usually required (particularly for couples) but are optional and can be planned to maximise her assistance whilst keeping your costs to a minimum.
Some people may feel uncomfortable speaking about sexual issues with their family GP. As you are entitled to receive a Medicare rebate when you consult with Dr Tudor, you do not need a referral from your doctor. A Mental Health Care Plan is NOT required.
Bulk billing is not available.
For people who are not able to afford the gap payment, Dr Tudor suggests that you contact SHINE: an alternative funded service. Phone: (08) 8300 5300.
In matters of your general health Dr Tudor is unable to treat you in the capacity of your own GP. She is more than happy to work with your GP and communicate with them regarding suggested investigations to ensure that you receive the best possible care and follow up.
Whilst your health is a priority, Dr Tudor is not available all office hours or after office hours. If you feel your situation needs immediate and urgent attention, your GP is an excellent first point of call. If you believe you have an urgent mental health concern, the Mental Health Triage Service is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their number is: 13 14 65.
There are other options for urgent help:
Lifeline: 13 11 14
For emergencies including thoughts of suicide, it is vital that you phone 000 to receive immediate medical attention.
